Louisville vs Clemson – CJ’s Take:
Deshaun Watson is someone who came into the season as one of the very top favorites for the Heisman, as well as a prominent prospect for the NFL. He has not necessarily blown anyone’s doors away does far. Jackson is someone who has helped Louisville rack up scores like a pinball machine thus far, so he is getting all the attention, and that includes appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
Both of these teams are highly ranked, quite obviously – Louisville is third in the Associated Press poll, and fourth in the coaches’ poll, while Clemson is #3 with the coaches and fifth in the AP rankings.
This may turn out to be a real test of the passing ability of Jackson, who may not be the most polished guy in that area.
In last year’s game, Clemson got by the Cardinals by a 20-17 score, holding Louisville to just 18 net rushing yards.
